WTCC Adult Education Programs offers the Workforce Preparation Academy to individuals who would like to enhance their employability skills. In December 2007, ten individuals enrolled in the recent session. Students participated in the December 21st graduation event consisting of lunch and a brief certificate program.

Many of those enrolled in this program are dislocated workers from Visteon and are currently upgrading their workforce skills. The class was taught by Frankie Mills, a workforce literacy instructor with WTCC.

 

 
   
     
         
   
 
         

 

 

Workforce Preparation Academy's intensive two-week workshop will help you learn skills to assisst you in finding a better job. During the workshop, you will:
  • Learn basic math skills
  • Learn to write resumes
  • Learn to write cover letters
  • Learn how to fill out applications
  • Practice mock job interviews during class
  • Learn how to dress for success
