Certified Nursing Assistant		Location: WTCC
This course is designed for people who desire employment in an extended care facility. 30 hrs of classroom instruction and 75 hrs of clinicals in an extended care facility. A two-step TB skin test and a physical exam is required prior to any patient care. A criminal background check is required before performing clinical duties. *Following completion of class and clinical duties, you will need to contact IVY Tech to schedule your state testing exam. Any testing fees are to be paid to IVY Tech.*

CNA Class Curriculum

Qualified Medication Aide		Location: WTCC
Information about general principles of administering medication in long-term care. All applicants wishing to enroll in a training program to become a QMA shall meet all of the following pre-enrollment criteria: (1) Proof of a high school diploma or GED(r) credential. (2) Proof of being at least eighteen (18) years of age. (3) Proof of completion of an Indiana nurse aide training course, including certification and on the Indiana state CNA registry. (4) At least one thousand (1,000) hours of documented work experience as a CNA within the last twenty-four (24) months. (5) Demonstrated ability to read and write in English and the ability to perform the four (4) Basic mathematical functions: addition; subtraction; multiplication; and division; as determined per training entity enrollment pre-test.
