| This course is designed for people who desire employment in an extended care facility. 30 hrs of classroom instruction and 75 hrs of clinicals in an extended care facility. A state test approved by the Indiana Board of Health will be given to meet certification requirements. A two-step TB skin test and a physical exam is required prior to any patient care. |

| Information about general principles of administering medication in long-term care. Requirements: Proof of a High School diploma or GED; Proof of being at least eighteen (18) years of age; Proof of completion of an Indiana nurse aide training course, including certification and on the Indiana state CNA registry; At least one thousand (1000) hours of documented work experience as a CNA in a long-term care facility within the last twenty-four (24) months. In this class you will need to be able to calculate medication dosages, therefore, a pre-class math test is required to determine current math skills. |
