Class: Basic Web Page Design

Instructor: Beth Shank-Ross

What you will learn in this class:

  • Creating a basic web page using KompoZer, a FREE download
  • Adding graphics to your web page
  • Creating links to additional pages on your site or to other web sites
  • Using tables in web pages
  • Uploading your web page to a server
  • Various other basic web page skills

  • Basic anatomy of Word
  • Formatting a document
  • Copy, cut, and paste
  • Page setup, saving, and printing
  • Templates and wizards
  • Adding photos & drawings
  • Mail merge
  • Auto correct and defaults
  • Each student will do a project of interest
  • Various other Word functions

  • How spreadsheets work
  • How to set up worksheets
  • Use common functions (sum, average)

Class: Understanding computers - Intro

Instructor: Ann Alcorn

What you will learn in this class:

  • Turning computer on and off
  • Using the mouse to navigate through computer programs
  • Working with floppy disks, CDs, and flash drives
  • Basic troubleshooting
  • Many other basic computer skills
